Well, about 3 years ago I missed out on a Nor' Sea 27 with trailer for $12,000 w/ a rebuilt yanmar. Here in Alaska we do not get many opportunities to find solid, proven and cared for sailboats. Mostly 24' to 28' aluminum power (outboard) boats. The comment regarding the prominence of a boat captures one's attention is so very true. I really enjoy the programs and as I get closer to retirement I am constantly assessing where to move in order to have a good selection of boats to choose from once I retire. I gill net sockeye in Bristol Bay and it is exactly as you said in your article, well kept, older, known designs always move well.

Ah, the Nor’Sea 27! We profiled one of those and loved it! In fact, it remains are most popular video. Such wonderful boats! Retirement: Maine! Not quite as cold as Alaska and lots of sailboats to choose from - then head south to warm up! Appreciate the comment and thanks for reading!
